Mumbai: In the 25th match of the Indian Premier League IPL season 17, Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets. Chasing the target of 197 runs, MI team won by scoring 199-3 in 15.3 overs.
For Mumbai, opener batsman Ishan Kishan played a brilliant inning of 69 (34) and Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant inning of 52 (19), giving his team a spectacular victory. This is Mumbai’s second win in this IPL, while this is RCB’s fifth defeat.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, RCB made a strong score of 196-8 runs in 20 overs. Which included the flamboyant innings of captain Faf Duplessis 61 (40), Rajat Patidar 50 (26) and finally Dinesh Karthik’s unbeaten 53 (23). Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah displayed lethal bowling and took 5 wickets. Bumrah also got the title of Man of the Match for his amazing game (5-21 wickets). This victory has been very special for Mumbai Indians.
